We are Rob and Tom. Mind the Gap is a show which could include pretty much anything and everything. We would like to believe that if we are having fun then hopefully you will too!

Sounds from the Fun Bus

Just me (Kerrie), with some great tunes, the occasional guest and the odd bit of live music. From blues to punk, country to dark house, classical to k-pop, I’ll be sharing some of the sounds I like and love.

Station Well Raver

With Steve, aka Well Raver. It’s a rave music show under a wellbeing umbrella. This means I will have breaks within the music in order to talk about the latest wellbeing news in the local community.

Marian’s mix

I play popular tracks from the 50s to the present day, with some classical and country. I’d like people to feel happy and able to sing along – and feel they want to hear the next track.

The Britpop Revival Show

Do you remember the first time? From baggy beginnings to the end of the century, we play the Britpop songs you know and love but we also play obscure deep cuts and bands who’ve long since been forgotten.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Show

The Electric Tortoise and Strangle Jim present a weekly instalment of the weird and wonderful, sometimes horrifying (but never boring) music of almost every variety known or unknown!

Pete’s Sunday Show

Magazine style show – pop/rock/electronica music with intersticed segments: 1) Community Spotlight, featuring pre-recorded interviews with local good causes and interesting people 2) Tips and life hacks – quick and useful techniques or ways or doing things 3) Out and about: shoutouts for events and happenings in the local area 4) Ask Auntie Pete – ability for people to ask questions either live via email or in advance and get best answers on a range of topics. Tone is relaxed and fun – musical tone is upbeat and energetic without being too frenetic as it’s a Sunday. Nothing political and nothing likely to cause friction. We’re here to entertain and recognise folks doing good stuff out there!

Anything Goes

Presented by Bully, playing anything from the history of recorded music, where the only limitation is taste. There maybe a punk-ish bias but you’ll still hear anything from Klaus Nomi to Harry Partch and Robert Johnson to Blurt.

The Morning After

Will & McLeod play a mix of well-known and obscure funk, dance, indie, soul, ‘hits’ and even jazz, sprinkled with chat about their (often contrasting) music playlists.

Ungrateful Colonist Radio Hour

Presented by Tim Myers, a self-described music nerd and recent American arrival in the UK. On the show, Tim details an American’s experience in the UK and exorcises his immigrant homesickness with deep explorations of the music of various American scenes and other current and former members of the commonwealth. With a characteristically punk rock and DIY attitude, Tim channels the American settlers who came before him, creating a soundtrack for those livid over stamp taxes, ready to dump imported tea into harbors.

Yan’s Bangers

With a different featured album every time, I talk about the bands, the history of the tracks, and any fun facts that spring to mind. Full of nostalgia, I also cover the most horrific tracks from that time in my “Maximum Cheese” section. I also have a trivia quiz based on popular culture from the 80s and 90s. Anyone who loves a giggle and holds giant shoulder pads in their memory with fondness will love it. The aim? To leave people wanting to rush out, buy a Soda Stream, a Sinclair C-5 and a Remington Fuzz-away, and dig out their neon leg-warmers.
