Hailing from the Great Plains’ state of Nebraska in the US, I bring a unique mix of genres to the table (rock, punk, soul, reggae, country, blues, jazz, world, hip hop). Do I have a favourite? They’re all my favourite, depending on my mood! I dj’d at venues in Switzerland and volunteered at KEXP in Seattle. I love music & the power it has to connect us. Just a couple beers is an innocent enough beginning to many a memorable shenanigan – if you don’t mind a bit of irreverence & goofiness along the way!

Hi, Im James Hudson and I will be playing anything from Robert Johnson to Aphex Twin. I’m going to talk about the music I love, how I found it, the story behind the music and what it means to me. I want my audience to be everyone, anyone who loves great music. I want to make a connection with people through music and maybe introduce them to a song that they haven’t experienced before. I want people to be moved, excited and feel a wide range of emotions. I hope people can build memories with me providing the soundtrack.

The Inner Soundtrack with Nicole

The Inner Soundtrack is an introspective music and conversation show presented by Nicole, exploring the emotional relationship people have with music across different eras of their lives.

Blending alternative, folk, electronic, metalcore, singer-songwriter and emotionally immersive soundscapes, the focus is less on genre and more on emotional truth — the way music can hold us, reveal us, unravel us and sometimes help us reconnect with ourselves again.

The Morning After

Will & McLeod play a mix of well-known and obscure funk, dance, indie, soul, ‘hits’ and even jazz, sprinkled with chat about their (often contrasting) music playlists.

St David’s Hillbillies

DJ Peachy and guests play lots of new music from Exeter and beyond. Touring acts and up-and-coming locals with a Q&A session on the phone when we can’t get someone in to the studio.

Marian’s mix

I play popular tracks from the 50s to the present day, with some classical and country. I’d like people to feel happy and able to sing along – and feel they want to hear the next track.

Ewan’s Mixed Bag

With Ewan James. Playing a diverse mix of tracks that really mean something to me, and maybe generate a bit of curiosity and inspiration for my listeners. I go back and forth in time, from the 60s onwards.

The sounds are rooted in underground indie, psychedelic and alternative rock. Not just things that sound good, but perhaps have interesting songwriting angles, challenge conventions, and have an emotional pull.

Most importantly I’m very keen to help make people happy, or happier, in some way. So my show is hopefully an interactive listener experience – with requests very welcome!”
