–Electric Avenue & Hip Hop Time MachineA four-hour show in two halves. The first two-hours is ECELCTIC AVENUE, a real mix of all things old, new, unreleased in genres as disparate as the stars, such as: funk, jazz, nu-jazz, soul, hip hop, house, folk, singer-songwriter, indie, alt-rock, 80s synth pop, pop music, rockabilly, reggae, dub and more... The second hour is dedicated to Hip Hop and Electro from the 1980s (the lense being 1979-1992). I want to focus on the eras of Hip Hop that forged the styles we have today, the unfashionable eras, the one-hit wonders, the origins of todays titans, as well as putting these early rap tracks in the context of early house music, and other genres which splintered out.
