International Women’s Day on Phonic FM, 8 March

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. It takes place on Tuesday, 8 March.

To mark the day, Josie Sutcliffe and Natalie McGrath from Dreadnought South West (an Exeter-based arts organisation and associate company of Exeter Phoenix) will front a special ‘Occupy the Airwaves’ show, from 12pm–6pm, with a range of presenters and even wider range of guests of women from across Exeter’s community and beyond.

Natalie says:

“We are really excited to be producing and working with Phonic FM on this event, and the hope is to encourage more women to engage with Exeter’s excellent community radio station as presenters and guests in the future. It is a fantastic way to bring a wide range of voices together and to celebrate them on this day.”
