The Scrambled Cabbage Show
Every third Wednesday of the month, 2200-0000
Rufus aka the Cabbage Scrambler takes you on a journey down the auditory rabbit hole, from the sublime to the raucus to the occasionally ridiculous. Expect music from the far flung reaches of space and time, features on extremely niche subjects and occasional weather reports with Michael Flatfish. A show for anyone open to the idea of getting their cabbage scrambled.
What brought you to Phonic FM?
Living a sheltered life I don’t get the opportunity to inflict my musical tastes on my friends as much as I used to, so I got in touch with Phonic to see if they’d let me inflict them on you instead.
What does Phonic FM mean to you?
Having the freedom to broadcast my questionable musical tastes to Exeter and the world is a beautiful thing, and giving dozens of people that same opportunity is what makes Phonic. No playlists, every DJ plays what they want which means everything you hear on the station is deeply personal, and that’s great.
What do you do when you’re not on Phonic FM?
Wander the desolate parts of Dartmoor where there’s no one but me and the skylarks, get beaten up by my toddlers, and make a fuss of my cats.
How do radio presenters do it?
Give me a cabbage and a whisk and I’ll be happy to show you.
