Anything Goes
Presented by Bully, playing anything from the history of recorded music, where the only limitation is taste. There maybe a punk-ish bias but you’ll still hear anything from Klaus Nomi to Harry Partch and Robert Johnson to Blurt. I hope this appeals to those who are firmly committed to journeying and adventures in music (in it’s broadest definition). I hope people will discover something new to them and feel excited, happy knowing that someone else shares in their taste for the obscure and odd.
What brought you to Phonic FM?
Other Phonic FM members convincing me to get involved and encouraging me, especially Paul Giblin and the late Martin Hodge, through the Respect Show.
What does Phonic FM mean to you?
It has given me a lifeline because it has given me an opportunity to get involved in a positive activity that has improved my mental health. I love it and think it’s absolutely brilliant.
What do you do when you’re not on Phonic FM?
Play and record live music with Mudskippers. I also work at the Men In Sheds project in Wardrew Road and am C/O of Soundwaves Music Project.
How do radio presenters do it?
Tirelessly!
