Exeter Pride 2015

Exeter Pride 2015

Welcome to Exeter Pride 2015 on Saturday 16th May.

Exeter Pride is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ communities and diversity within Exeter and the surrounding regions. We are delighted that Exeter Pride is returning for its 7th year and it will be bigger and brighter than ever before!

Start Exeter Pride Day by listening to the Pride Show on Phonic FM with Martin and Ryn from 08:00 to 10:00.
Up to the minute news about what is happening for Exeter Pride throughout the city. Celebrate  with some great music including musical guests LIVE in the studio.  Check out the show’s Facebook page.

The parade starts at 12 noon from St Sidwell’s Centre, Sidwell Street and will feature favourites such as Street Heat, a fire engine, Morris Dancers, and all new Roller Skaters and circus skill performers! Our parade will again be led by the fantastic Anna Drenalin! We will of course, see the return of our infamous 50m rainbow flag.

Events at Exeter Phoenix begin at 1pm. Featuring workshops such as the ceilidh, drumming circle, a trans history talk and panel debate, there will be something for everyone.

Rougemont Gardens (new for 2015!) will host our largest ever marketplace – more than 30 local businesses and Pride supporters will be offering activities, games and information for you. We have a delicious array of food stalls for this year to keep everyone well fed!

Our evening entertainments are hosted by Anna Drenalin and it all kicks off with local acts, bands and Magic Hatstand to round things off with a club night until 2am! You will need to purchase one of the wristband welcome packs to gain entry to the entertainments.

So come along! Invite your friends! Let’s celebrate our fabulous city and its diversity with a day of laughs, music and fun! 🙂
