Thank you.

Phonic FM is Exeter’s sound alternative — a community radio station for the city and beyond, broadcasting on 106.8FM and online since 2008.
The Future Sound Of Exeter Show

The Future Sound Of Exeter Show

Hosted by Paul Giblin, this show features music you are unlikely to hear anywhere else. Genres covered include prog, electronica, dub and many more, but the important thing is the angle: showcases on specialist labels, in-depth exploration of particular artists, festival and gig previews, live local guests (often playing acoustic sessions)… and every so often Paul indulges his Pink Floyd obsession.

What brought you to Phonic FM?

I am a founding director of the station, helping set it up out of the ashes of Vibraphonic FM.

What does Phonic FM mean to you?

The chance to broadcast sound alternative shows you simply won’t hear elsewhere.

How do radio presenters do it?

With a slide of the fader, a press of a button and the odd twiddle of a knob.
