Phonic FM is delighted to support Exeter’s new Lost Weekend festival, taking place from 6–8 October 2017. Lost Weekend is a three-day festival of music, art, ideas and technology. With major partners including the Met Office, TEDxExeter, Kaleider, Exeter Phoenix and the Cavern, it aims to showcase the new and exciting, to imagine the future and to promote creativity.
Over the weekend, Phonic FM will host two workshops for college-aged radio and sound arts enthusiasts. Working to a brief set by Phonic FM producers, students will be encouraged to attend the festival throughout Exeter with the purpose of gathering content. The resulting contributions will be aired during a live broadcast planned for the final day of the festival.
The workshops will be run by experienced radio professionals and will enable the students to produce professional quality broadcast material, as well as unlocking skills, experience and confidence they can take to further their careers.
Keep listening to Phonic FM for more information on this new festival.
