Roots and Shoots
Presented alternately by Martin Henning and Bully. We play folk and roots related/derived music from all over the world and just down the road, with guests and live music in the studio. Our audience is as eclectic as the music that gets played. We hope that the music we play will resonate with everyone at some point or another, and that people will discover something new or rediscover something from the past.
What brought you to Phonic FM?
A desire to share our passion for an eclectic mix of music. Martin has been involved with the station since its inception as part of the Vibraphonic festival.
What does Phonic FM mean to you?
It gives an opportunity for music that is often neglected or under-represented by other more established commercial and national stations to be heard.
What do you do when you’re not on Phonic FM?
Bully: I work at Men In Sheds and Soundwaves music project.
