Thursday 6 June, Exeter Phoenix, free. Limited capacity, book online
Phonic FM’s second social event for local businesses – an initiative to build links with (and within) the business community. This is a free event and is a great opportunity for informal networking and a chance for local business people to connect.
At this event, the short ‘This Is Phonic’ film will be screened.
‘This is Phonic’ takes you to the heart of Exeter’s community radio station, Phonic FM. Shot in our tiny basement studio, this film lays bare the passion and personalities of the dedicated DJs as they launch their voices onto the airwaves. With technology changing and an ever-widening menu of entertainment choices on offer to audiences, we ask the question– is anybody listening? Ultimately, does it matter? This is music. This is community radio. This is Phonic.
Produced by Preston Street Films in 2018. Part of Phonic FM’s tenth anniversary celebrations.
Film screening and talks in Studio 74 at Exeter Phoenix 6–7pm, drinks in the garden behind cinema 7–8pm.
Contact organiser Marina O’Shea for more details, especially if you can think of people we could invite: marina@phonic.fm.
