Edge Comedy showcases some of the UK’s best stand up and Richard Bellars presents a unique mix of comedy and baffling magic.

Artist Oliver Flexman, who has just completed a year’s residency with Exeter Phoenix and the University of Exeter’s Institute of Arab and Islamic studies, presents work in Phoenix Art Gallery exploring the perceptions of Western and Arab societies.

The films for Kitsons’ Big Screen in the Park have now been announced.  Audiences will be able to watch new release Prometheus alongside cult classics, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Lost Boys and Thelma and Louise on a 10m screen whilst relaxing with a picnic in Northernhay Gardens. Plus new films and award-winning international cinema can be seen at Exeter Phoenix for just £5.50.

There are lots of activities for children over the summer holidays too. Exeter Phoenix’s Summer Sessions offer day-long activities and workshops in film-making, dance and arts & crafts for children age 8 and over.

Finally, the Summer on the Terrace events include comedy, live music DJs and The Alternative Games including shove h’penny and wellie waggling, all for free!
