Plus the Keith Mullins Band
Whether in Ireland, the UK or across the pond, the melodies and themes of their catchy folk-rock ditties resonate with a wide range of audiences ensures an ever-increasing and enthusiastic following.
This outfit has developed into, what many believe, is as good, if not better, than any before. The band’s seventh studio album The Further Adventures Of The Saw Doctors is probably their most consistent collection of songs to date.
Loved and revered by their loyal fans, the band continues with a resilience and an effervescent energy that has seen them in the Spring of 2011 play an eighteen-date coast-to-coast tour of the US, a trip around Britain and a collage of festivals.
The Saw Doctors have spent decades sharpening their skills as performers, preferring life on the road to time spent in the confines of the studio. Nonetheless, they have scored several number one hits in Ireland, including I Useta Lover in the mid 1990s, which remains Ireland’s biggest-selling single of all time, as well as seven albums to their name.
Their live performances reveal a light-hearted bunch of down-to-earth lads, retaining their reputation as “a people’s band.”
Support comes from the Keith Mullins Band.
Blessed with a wonderful self deprecating sense of humour, Keith Mullins describes himself as “another moany fecker with a guitar.”
However, in a singer songwriter world filled with intense navel gazing, thankfully Keith Mullins doesn’t take himself too seriously and keeps the moaning to a bare minimum.
On his debut album The Great Atlantic, which releases on February 19th, Mullins delivers ten beautifully crafted simple, honest songs.
