The Neil Todd Orchestra, Double Locks, Saturday 9th April, from 3pm
By Dave Treharne
Gather together a group of friends who met whilst at University in Exeter, with music in common and turn the clock forward a few years, what better way to celebrate a significant birthday than to get together again.
Of course, musically they’ve all moved on a bit having moved through punk, freeform and heavy metal they have all discovered their common interest in jazz.
Ask a few friends who are still living in the West Country to play, and you have the basis for the party that is taking place at the Double Locks on Saturday 9th April starting at 3pm and going on until they can’t play anymore.
Add an invitation to anyone who cares to turn up and you have the recipe for the Neil Todd Orchestra.
Neil also spoke to Phonic FM’s Dave Treharne on The Edge of Jazz and played tracks by some of the guests. It threatens to be an event not to be missed.
