Beesounds smusic festival, The Underwood Discovery Centre, Beeson, Friday 17th to Monday 20th June

Come and make a slate xylophone, listen to the band, join the dance, sing to the sea and much more. Camping available.

The fun starts at 7pm on Friday with a kick-off chilidh from Further Afoot and local musicians. Plus Later with Gris.

From 9.30pm thre will be a magical performance by Griselda Sanderson on the Nyckelharpa.

Both events £10.00.

One Saturday there will be workshops concerts and events throughout the day.

Jackie Oates  is the festival’s honorary president and will be running a workshop from 3pm to 4.00pm and in concert from  7.30pm. Tickets £12.50.

Sunday’s entert6ainmnet will focus on performances by local groups and will be held in Beesands Church from 11am to 4pm. Entrance is free.

In the late afternoon thre will be Bespoke Beesounds– archive recordings about the area, and poetry from Matt Harvey. Tickets £5.00.

On Monday at 7pm there will be a concert by The Carrivick Sisters and solstice bonfire celebrations until late. Tickets £7.50.

The event supports the Mbale Youth Bands in Uganda which are made up of boys and girls who overcome great difficulties just to play. Music gives them hope and direction.
