Speaking on behalf of the Phonic FM board communications director Paul Giblin said: “A massive thank you to everyone who came along to our first birthday party and benefit night with The Haggis Horns on 6 March.
“It was a successful, sell-out event which really showcased what Phonic FM is all about with our talented local DJs playing an eclectic range of music which kept the party vibe going all night.
“The event netted a substantial amount for the station’s coffers and effective branding ensured everyone in attendance knew it was put on by Exeter’s sound alternative.
“As well as thanking all those happy punters, huge thank yous are owed to Melosa and all the Phonic FM DJs who played for free: Purple Rabbit, Rich and Andy, The Mello Men, David R Boland, Jam The Channel and Nonom.
“Thanks also go to Paul Barton for the interactive floor, to Ruthie for the banners, and to Bernie for buying the carpet!
“Here’s to another successful year for Phonic FM.”
Funk extravaganza the Haggis Horns headlined with 10-piece ska-machine Melosa provided support and an varied mix of phonic FM DJs kept the party atmosphere buzzing.
