Tall Stories’ live stage adaptation of the best-selling picture book The Gruffalo comes to Exeter Northcott as part of a UK tour.
Since its premiere in 2006, this smash hit production has delighted thousands of youngsters worldwide; touring across England, Scotland and Wales – to as far as Poland, Canada, Broadway and beyond.
The Gruffalo is an ideal introduction to theatre for pre and primary school children and their families; with plenty of songs, laughs and fun for children aged 3 to 300.
Join Mouse on an adventurous journey through the deep dark wood in this magical, musical adaptation. Mouse can scare hungry animals away with tall stories of the terrifying Gruffalo, but what happens when he comes face to face with the very creature he imagined?
This 2009 tour coincides with the tenth birthday of the award-winning picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, which has now sold over three million copies worldwide.
This year also sees The Gruffalo hit the small screen in Magic Light Pictures’ animated film scheduled for a prestigious TV premiere at Christmas.
Julia Donaldson is one of Britain’s brightest authors for children. Her bestselling titles with Axel Scheffler include The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child and Room on the Broom. Axel Scheffler has achieved worldwide acclaim for his children’s book illustration, including The Gruffalo series and Jingle Jangle Jungle!
