Variety by the Exe, Exeter Summer Festival, Saturday 13th June, 7.30pm

One of the major hits of last year’s festival, is back with a bigger and better totally different night of entertainment for all.

After a roaring sell out success last year, Exeter City Council, Exeter Festival and Slightly Fat Features proudly presents Variety by the Exe.

A one-off cabaret show, for one night only, with live music, circus tricksters, top turns, an adult prodigy and most importantly lots and lots of laughs. A spectacular night out in a beautiful theatre, this incredible family show will have you on the edge of your seat no matter what your age.

Blending the weird and the wonderful with the essence of old style music hall, this overload of activity will feature unicyclists, dancers, magicians, a live painter, saw playing, Vegas virtuosos, cardboard chicanery, live cinema, singers and a possible visit from the king.

Slightly Fat Features have been busy since their success here last year, honing their unique style of variety entertainment across the country.

This special festival line up is made up of the cream of the variety scene, and they will amaze and amuse you throughout the evening.

The show features performers who have appeared on stage and screen, entertaining thousands of audiences around the world and will include:

Included in the line up is: The magical mayhem and brilliant visual comedy of Herbie Treehead, Incredible skills from top European acrobats: Massimilliano Rossetti from Italy and Tiago Fonseca from Spain. The stunning subterfuge and huge wit of Matt Barnard and Gareth Jones stars of the Hollywood motion picture Mrs Henderson Presents, the unspeakable brilliance from Fraser Hooper, international physical comedian who will have you laughing out loud as he silently takes you on a thousand journeys. Plus the amazing anarchic skills of the awesome Aileen Wilkie. The colourful captivation of Jon Hicks illustrating his skills as the extraordinary artist in action.

Your host for the evening will be the growing personality behind Slightly Fat Features Goronwy Thom, with the luscious live music of exceptional multi-instrumentalist Rob Lee, plus other surprise guests on the night.
