Phonic FM is Exeter’s sound alternative — a community radio station for the city and beyond, broadcasting on 106.8FM and online since 2008.

  • Bully, Paul Giblin, Helen Connole and Paul Barnes take turns to present the show. The music is an eclectic mix of many styles from all over the world. The show aims to complement the annual Exeter Respect festival and celebrate diversity in the area and in the wider world.
    The Respect Show
  • With Andy Sinclair. I play funk and soul primarily, but also some jazz, acid jazz, house and reggae as the mood suits. Basically, anything with a groove.
  • With local dementia champion, Gina Awad BEM. I showcase a wide range of guests from people living with dementia to care partners and families in addition to sharing innovative practice. I have a variety of guests from the local area and from across the country.
    Living Better with Dementia
  • Hosted by Sam Humphreys and Martin Veryard. In our show you can expect talk of all things nerdy, from films to books, video games to comics and TV shows to the world of technology, as well as whatever may be going on in the world or our heads at the time of broadcast.
  • Presented by John Tron Davidson, Dragon and The Spring. The Way of Things shares all the records that we’ve found, been told about, and loved.
    The Way of Things
  • Restless is two hours of wild, raw and trashy tunes from the 50s and 60s brought to you by Syke. Expect garage, rockabilly, R&B, soul, freakbeat, surf, doowop, lounge and a whole bunch of genre-defying crazy stuff.
