The High Fidelity Radio Show

The High Fidelity Radio Show

Nick Burrow and Nigel Lowe, old friends from Exmouth Comprehensive Sixth Form days (1977–now), each create a playlist (Nick Hornby style) to share with our audience.

The music spans every genre, but is based around contemporary musicians and our old favourites from the past. Anything from Goat Girls to Django Reinhardt could feature at any time. We have live music: The Babysnakes, Rev Hammer & Daughter, Sadie Horler and The Sound of the Sirens have all appeared in the past (and in the case of the Sirens, presented the show twice!). We have also interviewed the late Ian McLagan (Faces, Stones), Ben Ottewell and Ranking Roger.

We hopefully relate to a fairly wide audience as we concentrate on the ‘new’ wherever possible. We attend and review the End of the Road Festival each year – in our view one of the most cutting edge British festivals. We also try to be informative with local gig information and promotion of local artists wherever possible.

We want our audience to feel informed, surprised and most of all get the buzz that we get from the music.
