Hosted by Sam Humphreys, Plugged has been going since 2011. The music taste is quite eclectic, featuring rock, indie, pop, hip-hop, funk, and occasionally other genres.

In the show you can expect talk of all things nerdy, from films to books, video games to comics and TV shows to the world of technology, as well whatever may be going on in the world or Sam’s head at the time of broadcast.

I believe the listeners are those that love a mix of classics with new songs they may not have discovered yet, and those that like hearing news about the world in multimedia with some giggles along the way. I just hope the listeners are enjoying the music filled and laid back casual Saturday night vibe.

What brought you to Phonic FM?

Myself and friend Marc arranged a charity gig and plugged it on Phonic FM with John Stammers on the CVS show (now the CoLab Radio Show). Through that we were told we should have our own show… the rest is history.

What does Phonic FM mean to you?

Interesting independent content, passionate presenters and a great community spirit via the airwaves and live streaming.

What do you do when you’re not on Phonic FM?

Listen to music, make music, watch films and TV, play games, read comics and books and talk about what we love, and maybe sometimes about stuff we don’t.

How do radio presenters do it?

With my clothes on. But seriously, it takes a real passion for music and the enthusiasm to want to share what you have discovered and love to those that might be missing out.
