Kaleider Studios, 45 Preson Street, Exeter, between 2–4:30pm on Friday 15 and 12 noon–6pm on Saturday 16 March. Admission free.
‘This is Phonic’ takes you to the heart of Exeter’s community radio station, Phonic FM. Shot in our tiny basement studio, this film lays bare the passion and personalities of the dedicated DJs as they launch their voices onto the airwaves. With technology changing and an ever-widening menu of entertainment choices on offer to audiences, we ask the question– is anybody listening? Ultimately, does it matter? This is music. This is community radio. This is Phonic.
Produced by Preston Street Films in 2018. Part of Phonic FM’s tenth anniversary celebrations.
This screening is part of Mikrofest, a free mini festival to launch Kaleider Studios, at 45 Preston Street, Exeter.
