Talisman + Revelation Roots live, 17 February

Sat 17 February, 8pm, £12 adv, Exeter Phoenix auditorium

Phonic FM’s tenth anniversary year celebrations take a reggae turn with two great bands playing for the station. Bristol-based Talisman are reggae legends with four decades behind them and a sound that matches their reputation. Still recording new material with legendary producer Dennis Bovell (Linton Kwesi Johnson, The Slits, Matumbi, Aswad, etc) and still raising consciousness, their 2017 album ‘Relijan’ met with great critical acclaim:

“If you are going to record a new roots album then Talisman are the act to follow”
– Record Collector.

Local reggae heroes Revelation Roots go from strength to strength as they continue to hone up their fat sound with festival appearances and prestigious support slots. Phonic’s reggae regulars Highest Grade will be spinning top tunes in the bar to top off this great night.
