Phonic FM and Exeter Phoenix are pleased to team up to offer a short course in radio/podcast feature production.
Over two Saturdays in March you’ll learn about audio production techniques, with guidance on how to plan and produce your own feature. You’ll receive hands-on recording and editing training, and on the second Saturday there will be an opportunity to broadcast your feature across Exeter on Phonic FM.
Topics covered will include:
- Planning a feature
- Writing for radio
- Interview technique
- Recording techniques
- Packaging and supplying finished content
This would be ideal for people involved in community projects, looking to share what they do with a wider audience; local/community radio practitioners looking to develop their output; people with a particular interest in podcasting; and people looking to develop a career in radio.
The course takes place at Exeter Phoenix on Saturdays 10 and 17 March 2018. There will be an opportunity to broadcast your work between 2–4pm on Saturday 17 March. The fee is £100 (£87.50 concessions). Book online through the Exeter Phoenix website at http://www.exeterphoenix.org.uk/events/producing-radio-and-podcast-features/.
