I am on the Respect show (10am–12pm on Saturdays) and a new show on the first Sunday of each month, 4-6pm.
What type of music can we expect to hear on your programme?
On respect it will be ‘world’ music in all its forms. In the other show it will be anything goes – very wide tastes everything from Bach–Burial
What is the format of your programme?
Quality tunes from everywhere from the 1920’s prison songs to contemporary footwork sounds from Chicago
Why should we listen to your programme?
You will hear music you’ve never heard before – I can guarantee that!
How did your programme come about?
Its been long held to dream to play my music on the air – I did the right thing at the right time.
What goes on behind the scenes in the studio?
I drink tea
What has been you best on air moment?
Getting things right
What has been your worst/most embarrassing on air moment?
As a new presenter – lots, wrong tunes, talking over jingles, stopping a tune mid ways through
Who is your favourite artist? Why?
Too hard to answer because it changes. I love so much music and equally happy listening to a chopin Nocturne as I am the latest Burial release of which may I say there are far too few of for my liking.
What is your all time favourite album? Why?
Again this is very hard but the album that I still listen too now that I was listening too 40 years ago is Moonflower by Santana, Its got everything
