Shakespeare’s great comedy is magically retold in a thrilling production which moves from a bleak inner-city school detention room to the fantastical world of princes and lovers, forests and fairies.
This fast- paced, beautiful and inventive production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream was originally commissioned as part of a youth theatre project at the Almeida Festival in Summer 2012. The project enabled teenagers and young adults from hugely varied backgrounds to able to engage confidently and creatively with a play written some four hundred years ago.
