In The Mood For Mumby

Show name:    In The Mood for Mumby

Presenter/s names:       Daniel Mumby

Show time and day:    Alternate Sundays, 4-6pm

Describe your show in one short sentence:    The perfect way to wind down your weekend

What type of music can we expect to hear on your show?    Anything and everything that’s good, but mainly rock and world music

Why do you like this music?   Rock makes me think, world music makes me want to dance. The rest is self-explanatory

What is the format of your show?      I’ll play some of my favourite records, bringing you bits of pieces of trivia along the way, while also giving you my thoughts on certain films and what’s happening culturally around Exeter

Why should we listen to your show? Because I’m entertaining, distinctive and refined. Oh, and I’ve been doing voluntary radio for four years, so I know what I’m doing.

How did your show come about?       I walked into Phonic just after moving down to Uffculme from Northumberland and asked if I could do a show. They said yes.

What goes on behind the scenes in the studio?    Me frantically trying to make the headphones work

What has been you best on-air moment?        Co-hosting a show with Pat Bensberg (a sycophantic choice but it really was great)

What has been your worst/ most embarrassing on-air moment?         Turning up 20 minutes late to my own show on Radio Warwick, severely hung-over and barely able to speak.
